A new prank on Twitter is locking people out of their accounts. The trick involves people changing their birth year to 2007 “to unlock new colour schemes”.
Posts advertising the prank have thousands of retweets.

Twitter warned its users about the prank on Tuesday. It said that changing their birth year to 2007 would make them lose access to their accounts for being under 13 years old, as per the social media platform’s age restriction.
