Gal Gadot starrer Wonder Woman 1984 is among the most recent victims to the post-pandemic postponing. The film’s release date has now been pushed ahead when it was initially slated to release in June, 2020.
Warner Bros has announced that the release of Wonder Woman 1984, which is a sequel to the 2017 DC Comics film, will be postponed until August 14 due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The superhero film – starring Gal Gadot in the titular role – was also rumoured to have an online release. But it seems that Warner Bros realises how important it is for such action-packed films to be viewed in cinemas – especially after the hefty sums of money incorporated in their making.
Responding to the news, Gadot said: “In these dark and scary times, I am looking forward to a brighter future ahead. Where we can share the power of cinema together again.”
