Trying to escape the country to avoid police arrest on fake passport? Not happening anytime soon!
LAHORE: Intelligence agencies warned, ex-super model Ayyan Ali who has been caught in money laundering case is reportedly planning to escape Pakistan to avoid the arrest.
As we all know that our famous ex-super model “Ayyan Ali” who had a history of being caught and arrested in money laundering case at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto Airport on March 14th this year. Islamabad Customs officials formally charged Ayyan with money laundering, attempting to smuggle dollars out of country. Later, she was being released from the jail after 122 days on bail.
Recently, she has been indicated to escape the country to be able to avoid the police arrest. According to latest reports, the intelligence agencies have alerted the passport offices and immigration officials at the Airports to stay alert in this regard.
Sources say that the plot has been set to secure Ayyan’s release as there are few people who were a part of money laundering case fear that their names could be revealed by Ayyan.
Meanwhile, Ayyan has filed a plea with the Lahore High Court seeking release. Sardar Latif Khosa who’s her counsel filed an appeal that said that the customs intelligence department had arrested Ayyan Ali in money laundering case and kept her in ‘illegal’ detention for four months but failed to establish the charges.
