Moammar Rana recently took to social media, calling out to Irfan Malik, who is the producer of Azaadi. The actor claims of not being paid the complete sum of money committed to him for his role in the film. Not only that, but even after regular reminders, he is not being responded to the numerous calls and messages.
Moammar Rana posted a status on Facebook stating:
Moammar’s wife, Mehnaz also supported her husband’s claim further threatening the entire team, claiming to reveal and expose every face and name in the production team involved to “sabotage the film on every step”.
But, this was not the end to the dispute, to make matters worst and more chaotic, Irfan Malik stepped out and replied to Rana’s post. He denied of owing and sort of amount to the actor and considered it to be a ‘meager amount that was already adjusted in some other expense’.
The producer responded to the post by stating:
Ali Malik also said that the production team of Azaadi did not make payments for the extras and fillers etc. and that he paid all of them out of their own pockets.
“I think Moammar Rana’s claim is not even worthy of a response, I will not stoop to the level he has,” said Irfan Malik while speaking to an online web source; further adding, “This is blackmailing and we as a fraternity should discourage it otherwise every XYZ will start defaming respectable people with false Facebook statuses.”
Looking at the recent dispute, all we can say it would be better to lay the problem and have it sorted with a mature and meaningful discussion rather than putting it out in front of the world. Nonetheless, we hope that the issue is solved and sorted out between the two parties, thus finding a way to resolve the matter with a good note!
