On Tuesday, Afridi had grabbed the attention by his controversial tweets on ‘Kashmir’. The former Pakistan all-rounder had called for United Nations’ (UN) intervention on Kashmir issue after the Indian security forces killed 13 innocents in three gunfights. And his point was simple and clear.
Shahid Afridi always supporting the Indian cricketers the best way he could and motivating them by labeling Indian captain as a great human and welcoming them with good gestures.
“My relationship with Virat is not dictated by political situation. Virat is a fantastic human being and an ambassador of cricket for his country, just like I am for my country. He has always shown a lot of respect and has even gone out of his way to present a signed jersey for my foundation (Shahid Afridi Foundation),” Afridi had told PTI in February.
Here is what he tweeted,
On which Virat Kohli has expressed his views on Shahid Afridi’s statement concerning Kashmir, saying that he will oppose anything that is against the benefit of his nation. However, he clarified that it is inappropriate to raise voice on such sensitive issues without knowing the entire state of affairs.
