Being fit might sound easy but it takes a lot to go through the struggle and sacrifice to be one. When we talk about athletes, Virat Kohli is one of them. Recently, in an interview with “Breakfast with Champions” he shared about his routine and what does it take him to be fit.
While Kohli is an icon today, he was not as fit when he started his career. In fact, in the early years of his career, he was a little chubby but his skills with the bat were what brought him into notice.
He has not touched butter chicken for four years and follows an extremely strict diet. Shocking, no?
Kohli shared how it was a pain in the beginning but he is now proud of his diet and it has become his second nature. It takes years of hard work to get into the kind of shape that Kohli exhibits. He revealed how he spends two sessions and four hours in the gym during off season and at least one and a half hours every day. Here is the following diet he takes in his daily routine.

Breakfast: He starts off with an omelette made of 3 egg whites and one whole egg with spinach, black pepper and cheese. Some grilled bacon or smoked salmon. He also takes some papaya, dragon fruit or watermelon and a decent amount of cheese. Then he carries some nut butters with him and has that with gluten free bread. And he finishes it all off with a big pot of green tea with lemon.
Lunch: Grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, spinach and veggies.
Dinner: Seafood. Basically a whole lotta fish.
He also revealed his ultimate cheat meal would be Chole Bhature at Rajouri Garden.
