This video on verbal abuse against women will definitely open your eyes!

  • You say…

What does it matter by just saying?

Women abuse can be considered as the most talked about topic of Pakistani society. However, have you ever stopped and just think for once that this abuse isn’t restricted to hands only?! It has gone far beyond the mere scratches on body, finger prints on face, or twisted hands. Undoubtedly, you would have surely heard that words speak louder than actions and yes a harsh line has an affect way more than that of a loud slap. And this video by UN Women Pakistan testifies verbal abuse in the most effective way possible.

Words are not like knives, Nor are they burning flames

You say….

In the mill of words, how can one grind someone’s existence?

This video by UN Women has touched the topic that even the ladies who go by it don’t consider as worth speaking over! Because, why create a buzz just because men hurt them with their words and not their hands?! How can someone forget that their bout of words can make someone doubt their own existence.

You find the way to insult me in any situation.

I have taken the faces of many, but you – NONE!

This video perfectly summarizes the aspect that there is no doubt if the woman is educated & working professional, devoted & housewife, illiterate & uneducated – men leave no chance to dump their anger on women. But, its time we speak and speak breaking all the barriers that have been set for restriction.

Its time for my wings to take me higher.

UN Women deserves salutation and applause for raising this issue and making it clear that women deserve respect and attention, no matter which character they fit in or which role are they in.

Its high time women stand up for their right and men start understanding what the real place of women is. STOP VERBAL ABUSE!
