Velo Sound Station launched by Velo Pakistan – is reveling in a “new world of pop” but it didn’t sit well with music enthusiasts, in fact, it surprisingly killed the vibe! Despite all the fanfare, presenting the industry’s most talented and popular singers, this new music platform’s futile attempt failed to impress pop music devotees.
The first episode featured performances by Atif Aslam, Umair Jaswal and Natasha Noorani. Composed by Ahsan Pervaiz, Atif performed ‘Kadi Te Hans’ while Uzair presented his own rendition of the legendary singer Alamgir’s ‘Maine Tumhari Gagar Se’. Noorani however, performed an original, titled ‘Baby Baby.’
Despite the 17k subscribers on YouTube that the Bilal Maqsood production has amassed so far, many people aren’t even keen on watching the upcoming episodes. A large number of social media users have also been criticizing the Pakistani music industry for promoting and/or endorsing VELO, a nicotine product manufactured by British American Tobacco.
VELO Sound station (so far) is Strings taking revenge on Coke Studio by throwing absolute trash over the latter.

I really like Umair Jaswaal’s voice and am all for music fusions but there’s something (everything?) really off about Gaagar. Is it the nauseating disco lights? The needless dance moves? Poor lip sync? Music? What? #VeloSoundStation
