Tommy Hilfiger launches Spring 2018 campaign for its ‘Adaptive Collection’!

When it comes to ensuring that all kinds of people are represented in fashion, let’s face it—there’s still a ton of work to do. Sure, efforts have been made in terms of diversity and size-, gender-, and age-inclusivity but one element that’s rarely touched upon is clothing for those with disabilities.

Tommy Hilfiger stepped up to change that back in Spring 2016 when he launched his first-ever adaptive clothing line for children. A season later, he expanded this offering into styles for men and women for the Fall 2017 collection, marking the very first time a global fashion brand has featured apparel to accommodate the needs of people with disabilities.

The latest offering for Spring 2018 takes it another step forward by expanding on previous styles with new product modifications, including seated options for tops and bottoms, bungee cord closures, and more. What’s more, it has an empowering new campaign to back it up. Starring model and motivational speaker Mama Caxx, dancer Chelsie Hill, gold medal Paralympian Jeremy Campbell, and chef Jeremiah Josey, the new campaign aims to celebrate individuality while inspiring all, regardless of their ability, to express themselves through fashion.

Here’s to hoping that more brands work on becoming more inclusive all across the boards.
