ATTENTION all comic book nerds. Attention. Good news. Sony pictures has announced it’s very own Spider-man inspired cinematic universe and the first step to make that a reality is the film Venom, a project that after almost a decade of being in development is finally moving forward.
Sony announced that they have chosen Tom Hardy to portray Eddie Brock a.k.a Venom. Hardy who is no stranger to playing a comic book character, having played Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. Hardy shared this exciting news through Instagram. The picture was of him wearing a Venom T-Shirt. Two minutes after uploading the picture Hardy got more than 3000 likes.
When it comes to the relationship between the symbiote and Hardy’s Eddie Brock. It is not all that chaotic and I for one am very happy sony has said that Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock is able to converse and have a functioning relationship with the symbiote which culminates to him becoming Venom.
I personally am very happy to see Tom Hardy play Venom. He is one of my all time favorite actors, plus he has experience in playing chaotic characters and one of my favorite character that he has portrayed is that of Charlie Bronson in the film Bronson. I can’t wait to see both Tom Hardy and Venom on the big screen.
