Throwback to when Esra Bilgic schooled Priyanka Chopra on ‘patriotism‘

We all remember when Bollywood megastar Priyanka Chopra posted a warmongering tweet, right?

Well, It was not just the Pakistani Twitterati that condemned it.

The Turkish heartthrob, Esra Bilgic, schooled Priyanka for posting a warmongering tweet rather than spreading the word of peace to ease down the situation among neighboring countries.

Being a UN goodwill ambassador, Priyanka Chopra has no business advocating the war. It is not patriotism, she argued.

Here is what Esra said to Priyanka on her Instagram:

 “Be patriotic doesn’t mean you should encourage war. You shouldn’t belong in a conversation concerning war as a UN goodwill ambassador.”

Esra Bligic aka Halime Sultan seemed very disappointed on how the Bollywood actress shut down Pakistani-origin hair blogger Ayesha Malik for questioning her public tweet.

“You were so disrespectful against a woman who just asked you a question about a statement that you shared with millions of people on your Twitter account”

This is what happened between Ayeza Malik and Priyanka Chopra:

The Pakistani-American blogger called out UNGWA Priyanka Chopra for fueling the fire following the Balakot airstrikes. It was a sensitive time for both the countries because Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was also captured after the incident.

Here’s what she tweeted back then:

Priyanka appeared indifferent and it was her mistake to look down on her with her phrasing:

“Whenever you’re done venting.”

Aisha Malik later responded with;

“Sorry, didn’t realize that speaking on a humanitarian crisis was ‘venting‘”

Priyanka tried to play smart by justifying her stance by labeling herself as ‘patriotic‘. She furthered added ‘we’re all here for love‘.

Of course, her tweets said a lot already!
