The month of our Independence, we have A LOT of new movies releasing on the 14th, and boy, are we excited or what?!
Apart from the Independence Day Holiday, releases are also on a high because of summer vacations ending, and educational institutions finally re-opening.
Geo Sar Utha Kay:
Featuring Shafqat Cheema, Lollywood’s most notorious and badass villain, in the leading role, the film highlights the sacrifices of police in ensuring law and order.
In the recent past, films like Waar, Maalik, Yalghaar, Saya e Khuda e Zuljalal highlighted the efforts of civilian law enforcement agencies, and military and army based security agencies.
The other main characters are a group of young security enforcement officers, making their debuts.
It is interesting to note that one of the Pakistani officers is a SIKH. Absolutely love it!

Chayn Aye Na:
A musical romantic releasing on 11th August, Chayn Aye Na was delayed because the ‘team’ required more time for promoting and marketing the film.
The major highlight of the movie is its director Syed Noor, one of the last renowned names of the now dying ‘old industry’ of Lahore, being replaced by a new one (who we are extremely proud of, of course!)
People are anxiously awaiting to see the comeback of Syed Noor with this film.
Sehrish Khan, Pakistani artist hailing from USA, is also making her debut in the film. Apart from that, Waheed Murad’s son, Adil Murad, will also be making his comeback on screen with the movie.
Atiqa Odho and Nadeem Baig are working as a pair after a gap of almost two decades their last film Mummy was released in 1997.

Ishq Wala Love:
Ishq Wala Love is a medium-budget film directed by Imran Adeeb.
A triangular love story featuring Hannan Sameed, Ali Tabish and Mahi Khan in leading roles, we are hoping this doesn’t turn out to be just another love story (sadly, it is what it looks like).
The heroine Mahi Khan is a new face on the big screen and seems more fit for Punjabi cinema than Urdu, according to sources, and of course, her appearance.
