The end of an era, another legend lost

Renowned comedian Majid Jahangir passed away in the early hours of Wednesday after a prolonged illness. Abdul Majid Jahangir was a Pakistani comedian actor. He was best known for his comedy roles and caricatures acted in PTV’s show Fifty-Fifty.

His death is indeed a great loss for the Pakistan and the entertainment industry, the way he spent his last days in misery is something the entire nation is ashamed of. If this is the end that our legends deserves then it’s simply a pity on us as a nation.

Majid Jahangir had suffered injuries after he fell from the bed month ago. The comedy legend fractured his spine in the mishap. He was already suffering from a respiratory disease that worsened recently. Back in November 2020, he was admitted to a hospital in Lahore following the worsening of his condition. The actor was already paralyzed losing partial movement of his body five years ago.

Majid Jahangir’s daughter informed media of his last moments and said he wished to perform Umrah and wanted to go with her for Umrah or Hajj.
