When we say that Snapchat has destroyed the ideal future of generation, it literally has and we mean it. Just recently, this incident of Snapchat fad addiction has definitely left everyone stunned. In a recent tragic yet horrifying accident that occurred in Singapore, a teen died while performing a stunt for Snapchat – the blatant affect of negative addiction.
Here is a video captured through CCTV camera:
17 year old Johnathan Chow was trying to perform a risky stunt by jumping over the railing at a Singapore mall, with hopes that he will land safely on a ledge just beneath the railing. However, unfortunately, the ledge couldn’t support his weight and he fell directly through four floors to ground, inviting his death.
His friend Ruth, who can be seen in the video making Snapchat of the stupid stunt, revealed that she saw her friend falling to death.
“We both thought the ledge was made of concrete, but when he jumped, he fell straight through. I knew it was dangerous, but before I could stop him, he already jumped over.”
She further revealed that the deceased came up with the idea of performing the stunt when they we both clothes shopping and he asked for her help in this regard.
“I swear I wanted to jump over too but I knew it was too late,” she said.
This sad story is a testament of how negligence can take life. Social media is definitely not worth your life and time!
