Teefa in Trouble, which features Ali Zafar and Maya Ali in lead roles, released in July 2018 across Pakistan and beyond and became one of the highest grossing Pakistani films of the year.
Teefa in Trouble, which has received reviews and is available on Netflix, is still going strong even after seven months of its release. Recently, the action comedy crossed the 50-crore benchmark worldwide.
Singer, song-writer and actor, Ali Zafar took to social media to announce the news.
“50 CRORES. 7 months in cinemas. One of the most beautifully manifested endeavours of my life. Ahsan Rahim you are a magician. Take a bow team as we set another record,” Ali Zafar wrote on his official Instagram handle along with pictures of the entire team.
Ali Zafar also thanked everyone for all the love and support. “My sincere gratitude to the entire cast and crew and all the fans who were the real reason behind this magnanimous success!”
This is not all! Teefa in Trouble has also bagged three nominations at the Lux Style Awards 2019 including Best Film, Ahsan Rahim in Best Director category and Ali Zafar in Best Actor category.
Teefa in Trouble, which partnered with Yash Raj Films for its international release, features an all-star cast including veterans Mehmood Aslam, Jawed Sheikh, Asma Abbas and Faisal Qureshi, besides Ali Zafar and Maya Ali.
