The British “Swet Shop Boys” pay tribute to slain social media star Qandeel Baloch

The British Swet Shop boys have paid tribute to social media star Qandeel Baloch, who was brutally murdered by her own brother in the name of honour. Their recent collaboration, dedicated to Fauzia Aman aka Ms, Baloch, has become talk of the town within no time as the hit number “Aaja” mixes rap into strong story line.

Indian-American Heems along with Riz Ahmed of “The Night of Fame” and “The Reluctant Fundamentalist,” in short ‘The Brit Boys’ have released the video which also features Ali Sethi, while it has been directed by Redinho.

Aaja pays an ode to Qandeel Baloch in the end, who was brutally murdered by one of her own by making a point of honour when it was about money in actual. The singers and the audience of the video observes a minute of silence while an audio of the late controversial celebrity is being played in the backdrop. The video ends with flowers and a line reading;

“In memory of Qandeel Baloch (1990 – 2016)”

It is due to these videos that we are left questioning ourselves as to where is humanity in this society? It is for the first time that any international music band has decided to honour the deceased soul. There is no doubt that Swet Shop Boys deserve an appreciation for proudly bringing out the reality of this society.
