Customers at London’s Gatwick Airport will be able to select a reusable cup or a standard paper cup at Starbuck’s South Terminal location. If they choose a paper cup, they will pay a small fee.
Customers can return the reusable cups at five drop-off locations throughout the airport.
The program, which will involve 2,000 reusable cups, aims to eliminate 7,000 paper cups in the month-long trial.
Seven million paper cups are used at the airport annually.
