If you haven’t heard of the Spicy Noodle Challenge you must be living under a rock. Also known as the “Fire Noodle Challenge”. The Korean Spicy Noodles brand, Samyang, has taken Asia by storm and I decided to ride the Hallyu wave too
People thoroughly enjoy Korean ramyun in general, but there’s something about Samyang’s fire noodles that is so painfully addicting. It’s spicy, flavorful, and has a perfectly chewy texture, (p.s: I like my noods a little uncooked). Every bite is tasteful and definitely brings tears in my eyes as I have low spice tolerance. However, I’ve found that eating it helps me calm down when I’m stressed out. If the price was lower I’d probably have them for dinner EVERY night lol.
The best and most popular way to up your noodle soup game is to add extras in with it. No matter your dietary preferences, there will be at least one food you can add that will turn your instant ramen into a gourmet meal.
The beauty of this is that you can use whatever you have lying around in your fridge. The easiest stuff to add in your ramen includes vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, corns and the list never ends!
Another must-have addition to your ramen is an EGG, which can be fried or laid on top of your food, whatever your preference is and to turn your ramen into a restaurant style meal, all you have to do is sprinkle and garnish!
As long as you’re having a good quality noodles, and a decent supply of chilli-based ingredients. You will have an amazing meal!
