Everybody talked about Priyanka Chopra and Lion star Sunny Pawar during the Oscar show, but there was another actress who remained unnoticed. Yes, that was Anushka Sharma as she was there ‘in spirit’, and even tried her best to stop the best picture chaos before hand, but sadly nobody noticed her.
According to the actress, the presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway could not hear her or understand her Hindi dialect, and hence announced ‘La La Land’ as the winner over ‘Moonlight’.
Anushka took to Twitter to share her Oscar account saying, “Yeh log mujhe sun nahin paye, main toh kab se Hindi mein keh rahi thi ki naam galat likha hai” (These people couldn’t hear me. I was telling them for a long time, in Hindi, that they got the name wrong).
You must be wondering if she was really there. Well, no! It’s actually an online promotional strategy for her upcoming film ‘Phillauri’. Oh that was quite an idea!!
