He slapped a girl publicly and people stood saying, “Yeh unka personal matter hai”

Living in a male dominant society where men can basically do anything whereas women are only to sit home cook food and dress well, looking amazingly happy ke jese unki life sabse zada khush haal aur khubsoorat hai. Par kia aisa waqi hai? Sochne ki baat hai. Kia wo larki waqi utni hi khush hai jitni wo nazar aati hai?

Yeh khayal mujhe us waqt zada aya when I came across an incident mentioned in a private group where a guy slapped a girl in the middle of a leading international clothing store at Dolmen Mall. Kia yeh hai aurat ki izzat humari society ki? Maan lia ke unka koi issue hua hoga but slapping your better half, or anyone for that matter, kia yeh insaniyat hai? Aur afsos ki baat tou yeh hai ke agay peechay kharay logo ne bhi koi step nahi uthaya, aur na hi shop ki management me. Kia unhein apni shop me honay wali activities ki koi tension nahi? Ajeeb ittefaq hai wese.

Yeh hai wo Mr. Perfect who thinks that slapping a woman in an open market is cool.

The post that identified the entire incident stated as;

“Today this guy slapped the girl he was with on her face in Mango (Dolmen mall.) The girl herself works at mango yet none of the other staff said a word. It’s crazy how only a few of us were shocked enough to confront the guy and how the rest just smiled or ignored the whole situation. Very sad. So basically everyone who worked at the store agreed with this guys story and it’s something personal so I don’t want to share it here. The point is that he has no right to abuse her physically and verbally. When we confronted and went off on him he apologised to us but continued to use the same tone and aggression with her. She didn’t say a word because of whatever they claim she has done but I just don’t underhand how except for us and another woman (she’s the one who told us what happened), no one said a word. We ended up following the couple and getting the mall security to come with us and they eventually left together. I understand that people felt awkward because this girl for whatever reason continued to stay with him. However, everyone in that store should have said/done something to him directly at least.”

Sahi kaha – whoever wrote the post above, kuch tou karna chaye tha takay us larkay ko pata chalta ke aisay aurat ki bezati karna publicly is not acceptable. Nonetheless, here’s what group members had to say after reading the post:

And it all started with the question…..LARKI NE BARDASHT KYUN KIYA???

Some asked the relation the two had whereas others disgusted on the unapologetic behaviour

Some just critised the girl for standing idle and doing nothing! #JBH

Some just came to talk about how women have willingly submitted themselves…..hamari society ka karwa sach

Kuch ko bas galiyan dene ka mood hua and went ahead without any hesitiation, but one thing’s for sure…..baat sahi ki hai

Some people talked about the management whereas some simply made a strategy to spread the face of the pathetic person

Jo hua, jab bhi hua, sahi nahi hua! No one has the right to abuse anyone, chahe akele mein ya publicly, it is just not ethical! And it’s about time we girls actually take stand for ourselves aur sabaq sikhaye in jese janwaron ko ke insaniyat kia hoti hai.
