Jami turned to Twitter on Wednesday (yesterday) sharing pictures of the Lux Style Award he received for his film ‘Moor’, placed in the middle of a busy road outside his house.
“Lux Award for Best film Moor is now on the road outside my gate. We believe and stand by our Women stories!”, read Jami’s tweet.

Responding to Jami, Pakistani star Shamoon Abbasi shared rules of dumping an award on his Twitter handle. Abbasi attacked at the filmmaker for doing such an act merely for publicity and had also accused the director of bringing back the award back to his home after taking photos.
Sharing his viewpoint regarding the current LSA turf, Shamoon had stated that ” Rules of throwing awards on the streets: 1. you don’t take pictures of thing being thrown away 2. You don’t bring the things back home that you have thrown away 3. You don’t disrespect your awards for public attention for a matter that has been resolved.”
