As Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput shared the story of their marriage on the latest episode of Koffee With Karan, I couldn’t help but think of how an arranged set-up could actually be a more practical way of finding love, than seeking it alone in this big world.
After making us wait for a very long time, the Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput episode of ‘Koffee with Karan’ finally aired on January 1st and oh boy, what an episode it was!
Despite all the hype that was created around it, the show lived up to our expectations fully. Although the episode had a lot of fun-filled moments, Shahid’s views on arranged marriages and some revelations about his own marriage were the highlight of the show.
After being in numerous alleged relationships, Shahid Kapoor had an arranged marriage, and the actor seems more than happy.
The actor shared his thoughts on the sets of Koffee with Karan;
“Actually, I am a huge supporter of the arrange marriage format because in an arranged marriage you come with no expectations. Then, if you hit it off, every day gets better than the previous one. So, the process of falling in love happens after you are married which is unlike when you are in a romantic relationship, where you always feel like the peak of the love was in the beginning. And a lot of times you are looking back and wondering, when will those days come when we used to be so much in love. So I think the graph of an arranged marriage is a lot better than love marriage.”
No wonder Shahid and Mira have set an example of a successful arrange marriage and have certainly restored our faith in arrange marriages.
We wish this lovely couple all the best for their future!
