Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ banned in Pakistan!

The most awaited movie of 2017 has been claimed to be banned! Yes, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ seems to be through some tough times as latest updates from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) state to have refused to grant a certification to the film. The objection has come ahead due to some objectionable scenes in the film. Moreover, the board has also given a diktat to the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, and the National History and Literary Heritage division to not grant a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for the film.

According to sources, the ban may have been caused over the scenes related to Pakistan that may have become the basis for the film’s non-clearance. Apparently, producer Yash Raj Film have refused to give any comments over the said incident.

To talk about one of the scenes which we think might be in the middle of this controversy is the beginning of the song Dil Diyan Gallan. If one may recall, it starts with a radio show hosted in All India Radio’s Amritsar station, where the RJ talks about a song request that has come from ‘border paar’ neighboring country.

The fact that this is in Hindi, followed by the song sung by Atif Aslam, says a lot about the two countries that one may be talking about. As in, Katrina Kaif played a spy from Pakistan in the film’s prequel, Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and both Tiger and Zoya are said to be playing the same characters in Tiger Zinda Hai as well.

With this latest update, we are disappointed and hoping that after what we have seen happen to Padmavati, which failed to get clearance from CBFC and now lies delayed indefinitely, the case with Tiger Zinda Hai is dealt with a more radical manner.
