What is this hype about “Byparjoy” Cyclone ? Byparjoy is a very severe cyclonic storm which is rapidly coming towards Karachi, Pakistan. It is a Bangladeshi word that comes from an English word “Disaster”. Byparjoy has taken over social media all around the globe as its getting severe day by day as much s its coming closer to Karachi. The Sindh government have announced to evacuate several areas, specially the residential areas such as Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and Clifton areas near to the sea as the threat of Byparjoy Cyclone is growing really fast. Heavy rainfalls with thunderstorm have been expected in Karachi from 15th to 17th June. Due to the severe weather and high tides authorities have also sealed Karachi beaches and Seaview roads, a lot of people still tried to barge to the beaches denying the section 144.
Sindh government orders Safety precautions amidst the weather condition. Even exams that were to be held in Karachi in the coming days are cancelled , following the current condition of the city. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said to evacuate up to 9,000 families to a safer place.
