Sadaf Kanwal takes a dig at Pakistani movies which she watched this Eid

Have you watched the Pakistani movies which were released on Eid? If not then you better read what Sadaf Kanwal has to say.

She did not hesitate to share her thoughts and took to social media to share her point of view as she wrote: “Are only the same 2 directors going to give us good, entertaining films every year? What is everybody else even doing? Seriously, worst 3 days for the films.”

Sonya Hussyn, whose debut film Azaadi was also amongst the movies released on Eid, responded on the post, by commenting “we need to understand that there are different genres when it comes to film-making” and the fact that most shows are sold out is a success in itself.”

But Sadaf pointed out that maybe, just maybe the fact that Bollywood films were banned on Eid contributed to all shows being sold out.

Sonya then replied, “I understand where you’re coming from and I agree, every film cannot be a comedy but at the same time if we’re going to go another route, which I’m totally for, we need to learn to execute that idea and sadly, we didn’t. As for those specific films being sold out, that’s amazing! But if the Indian films weren’t banned this weekend I really don’t think those films would have been sold out.”

Your move, Sonya.

Well, I guess everyone has the right to share their point of view but still I would still suggest all of us to go and watch Pakistani movies and appreciate our actors and producers’ efforts for atleast trying and contributing in reviving Pakistani cinema. We as a Pakistani citizen should go, watch and support our movies, after which sharing your experience and reviews may come later.
