The latest song video “Qubool” by Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed being shot at Wazir Khan Mosque is facing criticism for disrespecting the sanctity of the holy place. Wazir Khan Mosque’s manager had been suspended after a notification being issued from Punjab Auqaf and Religious Affairs Department on Sunday, due to the controversy created by a short music video being shot at the Mosque.
Protests started across the city, and people demand any measures or punishment against the leading cast. However, the permission was granted to the shooting team against the payment of Rs.30,000. While replying to social media’s criticism regarding the music being played in the mosque, Bilal added that it was not shot with any playback music. However, the administration of the mosque was also present and is the witness to it.
He asked the audience to view it before passing such comments or driving a conclusion beforehand. Moreover, both added that they hold equal love and respect for the beloved religion and it is not possible for them to disrespect Islam in any manner. In addition to that, they apologized for unintentional hurt that might have been caused due to their actions. Both the lead actors released official statements and a series of tweets to clear the air.
