Bollywood legendary stars Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla will be teaming up for a comedy-drama film after 22 long years.
The was last seen together in 1996’s Daraar and will now be coming together for a movie being directed by debutante Hitesh Bhatia. The production of the Delhi-based film has just begun.
Vivek Krishnani, managing director of the co-production company, stated that they are looking forward to collaborating with Kapoor after the success of 102 Not Out.
“As we continue to ramp up our local production slate with a keen focus on stories that audiences have never seen before, we are extremely thrilled to get started on this family comedy.”
He added, “The moment our partners Abhishek Chaubey and Honey Trehan brought the story to us – we were sold.”
Juhi Chawla expressed her happiness in a tweet with a caption that read, “Waiting to join the unit, shoot in Delhi, and scrabble championships with Chintu Ji!!!”
