Ranveer Singh is riding high on the success of his films. His last cinematic offering Simmba was a blockbuster and his upcoming film, Gully Boy promises to be one. On Sunday Ranveer’s Gully Boy was screened at the Berlin Film Festival and earned a great response from everyone.
Fans also took to Twitter to announce how the tickets of the premiere were sold out within 5 minutes of being available in Berlin and that the film opened to a great response in the city.
“I want this to be the beginning of something because I really think Hindustani hip-hop is a revolution. It’s more than just music. It’s a musical and social revolution. Traditionally our films and gender dynamics are structured very differently. So that’s an aspect of our film that we’re very proud of,” said Ranveer while talking to Reuters.
Present at the Berlinale premiere of Gully Boy were Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, director Zoya Akhter alongside producer Ritesh Sidhwani.
