As expected, Gully Boy opened to outstanding response at the box office. While it has shattered records in Mumbai. Gully Boy has raked in Rs 19.40 crore and has become the biggest opener of 2019 beating Uri, Manikarnika and Thackeray.

The film has already recovered a huge chunk before its release through satellite, digital and music rights. After Padmaavat and Simmba, Gully Boy is expected to be the third consecutive Rs 100 crore film for Ranveer Singh. In fact, it has a huge chance to beat Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Raazi to emerge as Alia Bhatt’s biggest hit till date. We are sure that Gully Boy will even become director Zoya Akhtar’s highest grosser beating Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Dhadakne Do.
Also, the film is expected to cross the Rs 70 crore mark in its extended opening weekend of four days.
