Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam team up for ‘Namaste England’ soundtrack!

Our favorite singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam shall be lending their voice for the soundtrack of the upcoming Indian film Namaste England.

Based on Mumbai Mirror, Rahat has sung a brand new monitor for the Vipul Shah’s directed movie starring Bollywood actors Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. Penned by Javed Akhtar, the monitor guarantees to be a masterpiece as Rahat’s earlier hit Fundamental Jahaan Rahoon from Namastay London. Whereas Aslam shall be singing a track composed by Manan Shah and penned by Akhtar.

Talking about it, composer Mannan Shah stated to Mumbai Mirror, “It’s sheer pleasure to have recorded “Tu Meri Main Tera” with Rahat sahab, I’ve always been a big fan of his voice. The song was well-received. Our second association had to be a special one and what better than Namaste England.”
He also said, “We have tried a unique style which Rahat sahab has also explored for the first time. He was excited about singing something so new and fresh.”
When asked about Atif, Shah said, “Atif was always my first choice for “Tere Liye”. I adore his voice and he’s sung a quintessential romantic song. Javed sahab has written a wonderful song and it’s one of his personal favourites too.”
Pakistani artists were banned in the year 2016 post-Uri attacks. When asked about it, Rahat had earlier said, “Art should always unite, never become the reason to divide. Yes, you can impose a ban on an artiste and stop him from coming to your country, but you will never be able to suppress the voice of an artiste. If he or she is a true artiste who emotes from his heart, his voice will travel far and wide, no matter (what) the circumstances.”
Namaste England shall be launched on 19 October 2018 worldwide.
