If you are a working woman, making everyday meals can be a task! Therefore it is crucial to utilise your weekends for this purpose and you can also share this chore with your spouse or roommate to wrap it up soon. This will give you ample time to finish other tasks during the weekend and spare sometime during the week to hit the gym or binge-watch post work.
Tasks for the weekend
Make a weekly grocery shopping list which includes vegetables, fruits, naan and fresh milk. It is best to utilise the weekend to do this task so it is not burdensome to go every other day. In addition, make a weekly meal plan so you don’t have to think about food every day! We also love to organise so labels for each day come in handy to label the boxes!
Cutting and Chopping
Cutting and chopping require more time when cooking so it is better to use this time cutting the veggies required for the week. It is easier to cut and store them in a zip lock bag in the refrigerator and use it when you need it. If you like to take lunch from home you can make the salad beforehand and fill it in an air-tight box, don’t forget to label it though! You can also make the vinaigrette but make sure to store it in a small box and mix it with the salad only when eating or else it can get soggy.
Let’s Marinate the chicken
Follow your meal plan for the week and marinate your chicken/beef and label them accordingly. This saves in time and even chefs recommend marinating the chicken beforehand which makes it taste much better. If you are a steak lover you can cut the veggies beforehand as well so you just have to sautee them in some salt and pepper and a full meal is ready in no time!
Prepare for some quick fix meals
If you are a sandwich lover you can easily prepare the chicken! You can cook the chicken and place it in a box. Take it out whenever you need it microwave for a few minutes and layout your sandwich. This quick-fix won’t even take you 10 minutes. Isn’t this amazing!
There are also many more quick-fix meals which are also fancy like pasta, lasagna and pizza. All you have to do is keep it in the oven for a while for the cheese to melt and it’s ready.
