Places to visit in Northern Pakistan

Pakistan is a country in South Asia that is officially known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. With a population of around 225.2 million people, it is the world’s fifth most populous country and home to the world’s second-largest Muslim population. Pakistan has a size of 881,913 square kilometers, making it the 33rd biggest nation in the world. Although the Western media may attempt to convince you differently, Pakistan is an extremely gorgeous nation. Consider renowned mountain peaks, emerald-green and turquoise-blue valleys, and deserts brimming with old civilization relics… And that’s only the beginning.

  • Swat Valley

Though it has had a difficult past, Swat Valley’s present and future are bright. This breathtaking valley in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province seems like something out of a fairy tale. Consider lush green fields and woods, charming villages, and rivers with blues so brilliant and dazzling you’d swear they weren’t real! The genuine charm of Swat can be seen in and around Kalam, which provides as a base for exploring the valley’s natural beauties.

Hunza Valley

It’s almost certain that if you reside in Pakistan or have read anything about the nation, you’ve heard about Hunza. Don’t be fooled by the name “valley” — Hunza is a vast area made up of several valleys and settlements.

Passu Cones

The Passu Cathedral is a magnificent work of beauty and one of Pakistan’s most well-known sights. Though staying overnight in Passu village is no longer permitted, the cones may be seen from afar, beginning at Gulmit village. The Cathedral is best seen from the Karakoram Highway, which is roughly an hour’s drive from Gilgit City.

Attabad Lake

A lake that doesn’t appear to be genuine… Even if you’re right there in front of it. When a huge landslide happened in 2010, Attabad was created out of tragedy. The Hunza River was dammed, resulting in the formation of the now-famous lake. It is one of Pakistan’s most attractive destinations due to its brilliant blue turquoise seas.\

Phander Lake

The idyllic setting of Phander Lake in Phander Village is almost too wonderful to be true. The teal-colored lake is surrounded by light-green trees, as if it were a landscape painting. Despite its stunning beauty, Phander Lake does not attract nearly the same number of visitors as the more well-known Attabad Lake.

Deosai Plains

The world’s roof is commonly referred to as Deosai. And it is in certain ways. The enormous plateau, which stands at 4,117 metres, is the world’s second highest and is only accessible during the summer. Visitors who travel to this lovely location will be greeted with sprawling emerald-green meadows and sparkling blue lakes. Deosai is home to the Himalayan Brown Bear, which has been seen by numerous visitors.

Fairy Meadows

Fairy Meadows is undeniably beautiful, even if it has gotten a bit touristic (and expensive). The meadows provide a spectacular perspective of Nanga Prabat, the world’s ninth tallest summit. It’s a little difficult to get to Fairy Meadows. The adventure begins with a jeep ride along one of the world’s most hazardous roads and ends with a 5-kilometer hike.
