All you need is talent, hard work, motivation and passion to make your dreams a reality. However, some times the only thing you have is sheer motivation and good luck. This is the case with Baloch tea seller Abid Brohi, whose rapping is taking social media by storm. This seems to be a good time for tea sellers, doesn’t it?
He knows nothing about reading and writing but his self-trained rapping skills inspired by Bohemia, learned on the streets of Sibbi have made him another social media sensation overnight.
Patari Tabeer has currently released a video with Abid and SomewhatSuper which has taken the social media by storm.
Patari introduced this soon-to-become superstar with an introduction stating, “From errand boy to rap superstar” along with the following video:
Patari Tabeer, an initiative to explore budding talent, is Pakistan’s response to the trending Spotify.
Here is the full song:
Abid Brohi might not be experienced in terms of musical skills, but his rapping and vocals made up for any loophole in the song. Abid’s first duet has been paired with SomewhatSuper – a Patari chart topper.
We often forget that our country has talent sprawled across its lanes, roads and streets. It only needs a little finding to know that we have diamonds and gems of talent, craving to be identified and recognized.
Abid’s song is the first among the list of song being released in the series of Patari Tabeer. Patari introduces it as:
“Patari Tabeer is the culmination of six dreams. We brought together voices from those areas of Pakistan that the mainstream forgets about, and paired them with top producers to make six amazing songs. They include a sweeper from Islamabad, a rapper from Lyari, a peon from Sukkur, a tea-seller from Sibbi, a young girl from Peshawar and nomadic singers from inner Sindh.”
Nothing makes us more happier than true talent being recognized and being bestowed with its rightful place. We wish all the budding talent warm wishes and best of luck for their future.
