Pakistani dramas are better than Indian dramas, Period!

Indian drama serials would certainly improve a notch if they were to highlight social issues other than domestic disputes between a mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law! Isn’t there more to life (and drama serials) than that?

There was a time when our TV was ruled by Saas-Bahu conflicts. The benchmark set by the famous Ekta Kapoor still rules the television however, the hype has died down.

Our dramas are way better than Indian dramas and when I say way better that means there is a huge difference between them. Pakistani Dramas tend to share more real life stories than the Indian ones. Indian dramas are no different than some fiction stories of either love or hatred that take you to a whole new world of dreams that would never come true.

Pakistani Dramas tend to be short and near to reality. They finish up quickly and are really a sight to watch. Every episode is more exciting than the last one.

Pakistani dramas such as “Zindagi Gulzar Hai” and “Humsafar” have gained so much fame that they were even bought by Indian media. I have never seen any Indian drama getting this much fame that they are being bought by Pakistani media.

We always consider ourselves a way more progressive society than Indians and it seems that we have finally realized it. Pakistani serials have totally nailed the art of depicting women’s liberation on screen. Be it Kashaf from Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Zara from Aunn Zara, or Maham from Mere Qatil Mere Dildaar, or other such characters; they have depicted women’s liberation and independence in Pakistani society in the true sense of the word.
