As much as the word spread out, we never realised that awareness may just end to more negative outcomes. Months before the youth of Pakistan even fell prey to this game – Blue Whale Challenge – the words never meant anything to anyone, however efforts may have seemed to go down the drain now as cases have come into being.
Apparently, even after countless attempts towards cautioning teenagers and alike, of this deadly suicide game that had gone viral simply got a little more complicated than perceived. Unfortunately, today, Pakistan ranks at #1 for most searches worldwide for the term ‘Blue Whale’ according to Google Trends.

Further diversifying the search among regions, the highest number of searches were made at Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), followed by Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sindh, and KPK, followed by Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and finally Islamabad.
Breaking regions down to cities, most of the searches came from Hyderabad, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Karachi, and Multan.
The ‘Blue Whale Game’ search has ranked Pakistan on the second 2nd, that is right behind India, followed by Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
Nonetheless, the figures are not only alarming till date but highly concerning, given the fact that the numbers are increasing daily with no predictions of halting anytime soon…!
