Osman Khalid Butt is no longer part of Parwaaz Hay Junoon anymore. The Balu Mahi actor was all set to star across Hamza Ali Abbasi in upcoming tributary film to Pakistan Air Force, but unfortunately he has been replaced.
Momina Duraid, producer of the film, during an interview explained the reason as:
“Ahad [Raza Mir] was much more suitable for the role. That’s because Osman Khalid Butt had some Balu Mahi commitments; his promotions were coinciding with our shoot schedule and we couldn’t afford to push our dates ahead. It was a mutual decision. Maybe, next time.”
She further said that:
“Ahad will be presented with a completely different look. Plus, when we finalised the traits post casting, we wanted the character to be a 19-year-old.”
Osman’s character has also been revised in the movie, due to the replacement. Other confirmed members of the cast include Marina Khan, Hania Amir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, and Shaz Khan. There will be another female lead, for which Kubra Khan is under consideration.
Parwaaz Hay Junoon is slated to release in 2017.
