The president of the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) TP Aggarwal subjected to the ban of Pakistani artists working in India. At a briefing he said, “We’ve passed this decision in the AGM today on the demand of all the producers. Henceforth, till the situation is OK between the Pakistani and Indian governments, we will not hire any Pakistani artist, technician or singer. […] We will maintain this till the relations between Pakistan and India are ok. The AGM at IMPPA House in Mumbai was attended by more than 200 film producers.”
Indian Motion Picture Producers Association(IMPPA) passes resolution banning Pakistani Actors & technicians in India till normalcy returns

The conclusive notice issued by the association came about after the 48 hour deadline that was given to all Pakistani artists to leave India, by the nationalist party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). The party activists threatened consequences if Fawad and other Pakistani artists in India did not comply. As no Pakistani artist is actually residing in India at the moment, upcoming concerts of Atif Aslam and Shafqat Amanat Ali have too been cancelled.
However, making an exception for artists that are already engaged in upcoming projects, the association said;
“If there’s any ongoing project from which [Pakistani artistes] cannot be removed now, on which everything has been done, they can come for that.”
IMPPA, however, is in the urge to never to allow any neighbouring talent from Pakistan to sign in for a project in India.
