Karachi Kings batsman Colin Ingram says there is no better feeling than playing at your home ground in front of the fans.
While talking to the local news channel, the 33-year-old South African cricketer said, “Our team is just starting to click and we need to win games and there is no better place to do it then come home and in front of your fans. I am really excited about playing here”.
“If we can put up a couple of big performance, it can set us [Karachi Kings] up nicely and into the playoffs”, he further added.
Colin Ingram has arrived at Karachi, along with other international players to take part in Pakistan leg of PSL 4.
On being asked upon about the return of cricket to Pakistan and the last eight matches of Pakistan Super League in the country, Ingram replied, “It is a massive moment for Pakistan cricket in general. There has been a lot of excitement and the fans are going to be engaged.”
He also added, “For me personally, it is really about getting out into the middle and experiencing that atmosphere”.
As it is his second time playing on Pakistani grounds, Ingram said, “It was a welcome feeling and it was really good to see it. Cricket can unite people and I have seen that back at home in South Africa as well”.
