Next year will see the eighth and final season finally arriving on HBO in the US and on Sky Atlantic in the UK, as winter ushers in the long-awaited war between the living and the dead in Westeros.
Game Of Thrones is known for twisting a knife in its fans’ hearts on a pretty regular basis (Red Wedding? Shireen? We could go on…) — and viewers should probably prepare to feel the same way about the finale.
The survivors of that conflict will likely determine who ends up on the Iron Throne in the series finale. In a recent interview with MTV News, Kit Harington (aka Jon Snow himself) hinted that the climax is likely to be divisive.
