Nolan’s Tenet a disappointment or a success

Christopher Nolan’s films are cinematic tales. They are a great mixture of narrative, technique, and technology. Fans have high expectations with his recent project, Tenet as well. Finally, the wait is over. The most anticipated film of the year is finally released and has been praised by the critics.

This action-thriller is set during World War III, a secret agent embarks on a dangerous, time-bending mission to prevent the war. The cast consists of Robert Pattinson, John David Washington, and Elizabeth Debicki among others.

The Times of London called the 2.5-hour film a “globetrotting, jaw-dropping and delightfully convoluted big-screen blockbuster” and added, “Cinema, finally, has returned.”

The Guardian wrote, “Tenet is a gigantically confusing, gigantically entertaining and gigantically gigantic metaphysical action thriller in which a protagonist called The Protagonist battles cosmic incursions from the future while time flows backward and forwards at the same time.”

The New York Times said the movie was “enjoyable and reassuringly massive in every way as a piece of a movie-making shot across multiple global locations.”

IndieWire wasn’t impressed as they call this movie a “humorless disappointment.”

Although critics said its time-bending plot was so twisted, it was hard to follow at times but it got an 87% rate on a review website, Rotten Tomatoes and 8.4 ratings on IMDB. Everyone has high expectations with this film and now let’s wait for the audience’s impression on it.
