No Bollywood movies to be shown this Eid

And just like other year, Eid is the most packed season for all cinema houses when friends and family rush to watch their favourite stars, whether its Hollywood, Bollywood or Pakistani cinema movies. However, this year things have taken slight changes as the Ministry of Information has banned Bollywood movies from screening this Eid in Pakistan. Not only this Eid, but the notice has banned Bollywood movies from screening on Eid-ul-Azha as well.

As per the notice that has been issued by the Ministry of Information, which states that “No Indian films will be exhibited during the period around Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha.”

The ban will be in place two days before Eid and will continue for two weeks after Eid. The ban may increase the viewers of Pakistani movies and it will help to promote the film industry.
