Priyanka Chopra, Irrfan, Nana Patekar, Shefali Shah and Om Puri have reportedly agreed to dub for “The Jungle Book” Hindi version. Looks like Mowgli, Bagheera, Baloo, Kaa and Shere Khan, the characters from ‘The Jungle Book’, may have found their voices in India. PeeCee is the first choice when it comes to dubbing for popular animation characters.
Priyanka is all set to be ‘Kaa’, the sultry python. While Irrfan Khan will lend his voice to ‘Baloo’, the friendly bear. Shefali Shah will be ‘Raksha’, the wolf, and guess what? Om Puri will be ‘Bagheera’, the panther, in the Hindi version. There is more. Nana Patekar will be the extensive tone of ‘Shere Khan’, the tiger and self-professed ruler of the jungle.
“The Jungle Book is so very special to India, and we want our audience to enjoy Disney’s all-new live-action adaptation. We wanted nothing but the best for the Hindi version of the film,” said Amrita Pandey, Disney India’s Vice-President.
The Hindi remake of The Jungle Book will be directed by Jon Favreau and will hit theatres on April 15, 2016.
