As we all know that after the success of Karachi se Lahore, director Wajahat Rauf is all set to direct a sequel with the same energetic cast but with the replacement of Ayesha Omar. To play the character of the urban girl in the movie, Wajahat found Saba Qamar to be the perfect replacement.
He stated that, “Saba will be essaying the role of an urban girl in the movie and, just like Ayesha Omar’s character in the first film, her character will also go through a transformation.”
According to Rauf, the decision of casting Saba Qamar is to have an interesting experience, as not many directors has explored this facet of her acting on-screen. The story revolves around Yasir Hussain (Moti) and it is expected that Yasir & Saba will be having a dance number together in the movie.
KSL 2 is expected to release on Eid ul Azha but it might be rescheduled if needed. Rauf also stated that the movie is likely to face stiff competition from another comedy, Nabeel Qureshi’s Actor In Law. But he is confident. “All films tend to do well around Eid as many people flock to cinemas to watch the latest releases. Even last year our film released on a non-holiday weekend and still performed well.”
