Hamza Ali Abbasi and Naimal Khawar’s nikkah broke the internet yesterday.
The intimate affair took place at Islamabad’s Monal Restaurant during the day where friends and family came dressed in white to celebrate the couple’s big day.
Looking like a complete stunner and channeling some serious old world charm, Naimal donned a traditional look in a champagne gold lehnga. They just don’t make clothes like this anymore so we weren’t really surprised to hear that this was actually her mother’s bridal outfit that designer, Maheen Shah reworked for Naimal’s nikkah ceremony.
Shah revealed on her Instagram that to make her look like a “timeless bride”, they paired it with a gold kamdaani kameez with gota and silma work on the front and back border, sleeves and the neckline.
“We added another organza dupatta with kamdaani chatta, finnished with lace, lappa and taamba kiran,” she continued. The kameez was then finished with hand-crafted tassels.
Khawar paired the entire look with some rosey gajras, minimal makeup and again, some of her mom’s jewellery. Absolutely love the simplicity of this day-time wedding look and we wish the couple a lifetime of happiness.
