According to reports, Na Maloom Afraad 2 was scheduled to release on 31st August in UAE. However, the film has been halted by the UAE Censor Board, and awaits clearance from their National Media Council (NMC).
This had to come out and loud soon though, with the bold dresses worn by ladies in the movie, and to top it off with the fun being made of Arabs, not to mention the ‘slang’ and ‘loose language/dialogues’ that were bound to be troublesome for the film’s crew.
The director, producer and cast had flown in to Dubai for the film’s promotional events, but all the promotional events and press tours were cancelled after the situation at hand.
Usaf Shariq, Head of Films Division Urdu1 stated:
Nonetheless, we hope to see a clean sweep from the movie worldwide, along with a desire to watch Pakistani films ‘clean and tidy’, focusing on the scripts of their movies, which has always given us great recognition, without any loose talk and white chicks in song videos. Good luck, team NMA2!
