My first marriage was for all the wrong reasons: Zara Noor Abbas!

Stars in Bollywood, Hollywood, and Lollywood have been denying the existence of nepotism in the industry but it does exist in every entertainment industry. Zara Noor Abbas is one of those stars who has proved herself by her immense hard work and perseverance.

The 28-year-old actor is at present making waves in the industry and has also signed her first Pakistani movie Paray Hut Love directed by Asim Raza. Addressing the crowd at TEDx GCU Lahore. Zara talked about her struggle to enter in the industry. She Said,” I came from a middle-class family, aspiring to be an actor. I participated in various plays and dance competition but than I heard about a play taking place in Iran. I asked my father that can I be a part of that play but he refused.”

Then she went to her mother Asma Abbas, for the permission. Asma said Zara to wear hijab as her father will only let her go if she wears Hijab. Hence, he agreed and she went to Iran.

Recalling her return from Iran, Zara acknowledged,”Once I was back, I got a chance to act in another play but this I did not inform my father. My mother along with my aunts came to watch my play and praise it extremely.

The star than decided to purse her acting and sat with her mother and father to talk about it. Zara added,” They said ‘ Jaan choro humari. Shaadi karlo aur jo karna hai karo’. I was very desperate to act so I agreed their condition.

Zara than went to US to find a suitor. There she met a man who has no issue if she want to pursue her acting and they two decided to tie the knot.” However soon after I realised that I had gotten married for all of the flawed reasons – to flee from my family and start acting.This led to my divorce and my family fortunately was very accepting of it.”

Quickly after, Zara’s mother was diagnosed with cancer and the doctors had given up the hope.“She acquired chemotherapy and by the grace of Allah, was to beat the sickness,” added the 28-year-old actor.

Zara than met Asad Siddiqui at a movie premiere, who was also a divorce.The two fell in love and got married in 2017.

“He by no means mentioned that he wouldn’t let me work. Asad wanted me to do things on my own,” she continued.

Regardless of going through many hardships, Zara states that she wish to advise the ladies of this generation to do and get what they need in life. “They need to additionally know their true price. Never ever give up!”
