Mothers are a shield, but Hina Altaf suffered physical abuse by her own mother

Hina Altaf started her career as a VJ and then she went on to perform in dramas. Hina Altaf is not one of those celebrities who work only because it is their hobby but this is her proper profession through which she supports not only herself but also her family. Hina left her house because she knew that she needed to focus on her career.

Hina did not open up about the struggles in her personal life for the longest time. These issues in her personal life could have impacted her career in a negative manner. After suffering for more than half a decade due to her worsening depression and her mother’s illness – who doubted her of being in illicit activities when she would go for shoot – the 21-years old Hina decided to leave her home and be alone. In order to run her house and continue her work, which gave her financial stability, Hina left her home at a very young age and fought her own battle from there.

“I was 21-years old when I met Dr Mohammad Alam who helped me get out of depression. I have his name tattooed on my wrist now,” Hina told of her mentor who supported the actress to fight depression and focus on finding her personality.

Hina Altaf talked about her mother’s schizophrenia, how difficult it was to live with it, her struggle with depression, the weight gain and how she managed to overcome it all with the help of a professional doctor who also turned out to be a mentor and a friend. Hina Altaf shared in many of her interviews how she used to go to the sets with bruises and acting for her wasn’t a hobby but a full time job since she had to support her family financially too.
