Ever heard that a model can not act properly? Well, now the time has changed and our models are breaking the stereotypes pretty nicely! A recent example is of model turned actor Omer Shahzad, who played a supporting yet pivotal role in JPNA2. Working with such veteran actors like Humayun Saeed and Fahad Mustafa is certainly a dream debut and to meet the expectations is yet another achievement, with such confidence and grace nobody could measure that he’s from a new league.
He is playing the role of kubra’s fiancé (soon to get married), though we missed his great dancing skills but we enjoyed his mature acting throughly. Another thing to mention is his style as he’s portraying the character of a Nawab and to behave, dress up and act like a nawab would definitely be a difficult task for him but he aced it too. His wardrobe credits goes to Wardha Saleem and Sania Maskatiya yet his styling credits goes to Haiya Bokhari.
The movie itself is so grand and has shot nicely with great actors and engaging storyline that it is a bit difficult to focus on one character and to emerge with such refined and qualified actors is we must say would have been a great pressure for him. But hats off to director Nadeem Baig, who not only defined the characters well but made their roles pretty strong too whether it was Sarwat, Uzma, Ahmed Ali Butt, Vasay Chaudhry or Sohail Ahmed.
Our movies are doing really well not only in Pakistan but in other countries too and it is the high time that our filmmakers should try the new blood and give them a fair chance to take the industry forward.
