US Olympic athlete Michael Phelps has announced the arrival of his second child with his wife Nicole.
The swimmer’s wife revealed the exciting news of their new arrival in a post on Instagram.
The couple, who also have one-year-old son named Boomer together, welcomed a second boy on Monday.
Nicole announced the new addition had been named Beckett Richard Phelps.
Sharing a sweet photo of the couple’s older son meeting his baby brother, she said: ‘Our family grew by 1 yesterday’.
‘Meet Beckett Richard Phelps. I’m surrounded by boys and I couldn’t be happier,’ the mum-of-two said.
Michael followed his wife’s lead and shared an adorable photo on his Instagram page of Nicole hold their two sons.
The athlete wrote in the caption of the sweet photo: ‘Magical moments yesterday…’
‘Nicole and I would like to introduce Beckett Richard Phelps to the world,’ he said.
‘We had a healthy baby boy and a healthy mama. I truly do feel like the happiest man in the world.’
‘Being able to build our family to now 4 (6 with doggies) is so incredible!#familyof4now.’
The Olympic swimmer and Nicole – who was previously crowned Miss California USA in 2010 – have been married for over a year, having tied the knot in Cabo in Mexico in October 2016.
