Met Gala is the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit, a black-tie extravaganza held the first Monday in May to raise money for the Costume Institute (a.k.a. the fashion department), the only one of the Met’s curatorial departments that has to fund itself.
Known as the “the party of the year,” and “the Oscars of the East Coast” Met Gala 2016 was super star studded where metal and bling nailed the Red Carpet.
From minimal bling to medieval themed gowns, some celebrities looked fabulous but some of them shouldn’t have joined the band-wagon, like for real why did you do it?
But anyway, let’s look at my favourite metal and bling looks from the galmourus evening which certainly want me to have something like this.
And yes, I was talking about them being over dressed in my eyes. I am sure the gowns and dresses are beautifully designed but they were certainly not meant for them.
